30 Year Reunion Weekend
July 17, 2010 Reunion
July 18, 2010 Picnic
Reunion details:
The people that I have heard from have overwhelmingly requested that the reunion be in July. I was surprised because for me October was a winner. Realizing that there will always be conflicts causing people not to be able to attend, I think democracy must prevail and have booked Twist at the Hollywood Renaissance for July 17, 2010.
Twist was the best venue for a relaxed, lounge like feel that we were going for. There is plenty of reasonable parking, there is a hotel on site, there are after-hours venues also availble in the complex.
The dinner will be 5 food stations which will allow a great deal of variety and hopefully, something for everyone. Creative Reunions discounted their price by two dollars a head so that we could go with this much better option. The difference between snacks and 5 stations is only $3 with the creative reunions discount. The price which will include the picnic will be $95 a person.
The special room rate at the Hollywood Renaissance is $159/night. While I would have liked to come in a little less money, after looking at other venues and opportunities, I believe this provides us the best value for our money.
COST:$95/person
You will be contacted by Creative Reunions about payment options or you can visit their website at http://www.creativereunions.com/
Breaking News
Next Reunion planning meeting is scheduled for Sunday, 12/20/09 at 1PM at 3631 E 10th St, Long Beach, CA 90804. Deb's cell 661-363-3864. I will be BBQing! Please bring a side dish or desert. Yes, Jim and Kevin, we will have the football games on.
We are hoping to get some people who can't make the weeknight meetings and out of town folks who may be here for the holidays. We will be having a conference call to include all of those who are not able to attend in person (I have purchased a conference call mike to help with the call quality). Email me at debmole@sbcglobal.net with a phone number you want us to call.
Don't worry if you are not in town, if you still want to participate, we can always find something for you to do. Just let us know.
If you have any questions you can email Debra Bogan Moeller at debmole@sbcglobal.net
